2013 Fall Seminar: Think Outside the Box

Over 500 county officials attended NYSAC’s Fall Seminar in beautiful Saratoga Springs. The annual event delivered need-to-know information, preparations for the upcoming NYS legislative session, and opportunities to connect with (and learn from) hundreds of county officials from all corners of New York State. NYSAC conferences are the only place to find high level education and advocacy resources for New York State's county officials.
This year's education tracks included: economic development, Pre-K/Early Intervention reforms, emergency management, fiscal issues, real property tax, insurance, county communications, professional development, and opportunities to earn credit for the Pelletier County Government Institute. NYSAC, in cooperation with the Municipal Electric and Gas Alliance (MEGA), presented the third annual Energy Management Training Institute at NYSAC’s Fall Seminar. The training provided an educational opportunity for local government employees responsible for energy purchasing and facilities management duties.
Fall Seminar 2012 Highlights
More than 550 attendees convened in Onondaga County at NYSAC’s 2012 Fall Seminar. Participants attended workshops, assemblies, exhibit booths and standing committee meetings to set the priorities for the association. Workshops covered the topics of Medicaid, EI/PreK, Cyber Security, Communications, Energy, Agriculture, Environment, Public Safety, Long Term Care to name just a few.
