More than 550 attendees convened in Onondaga County on September 12-14 at NYSAC’s 2012 Fall Seminar. Participants attended workshops, assemblies, exhibit booths and standing committee meetings to set the priorities for the association. Workshops covered the topics of Medicaid, EI/PreK, Cyber Security, Communications, Energy, Agriculture, Environment, Public Safety, Long Term Care to name just a few.
County delegates elected the Honorable Edward Diana, Orange County Executive, as NYSAC President and a slate of directors to serve as the association’s executive committee. NYSAC Standing Committees met to develop, discuss, and adopt a series of resolutions that will serve as the foundation for NYSAC’s 2012-13 Legislative Program.

The New York State Association of Counties hosts three conferences each year, including the Legislative Conference, Finance School and the Fall Seminar. Each conference provides programs and training sessions on current issues and trends facing elected and appointed county officials across the state.
Only county officials, state agencies and associate members can register for NYSAC events using the registration forms. All others must use exhibitor or sponsor forms to attend the conference.
