Affirmative Action Manager

 

Schenectady County is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as Affirmative Action Manager. The Manager is the lead affirmative action/equal employment position for both the County and City of Schenectady. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable workplace laws, regulations, guidelines and policies related to ADA, affirmative action, and equal opportunity. The position is also responsible for community outreach, data analysis, promotion of relevant County and City policies, and other duties related to workforce diversity.

Candidates should possess a Masters degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or other related field; or a Bachelors degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or other related field and two (2) years of experience in human resources, law, equal employment opportunity, program management, vocational or employment counseling, or community relations. Candidates must also possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Salary commensurate with education and experience. Excellent benefit package includes New York State retirement, generous health, dental, vacation, sick and personal leave.
