Assistant County Attorney

Responsibilities primarily involve representing departments of Social Services, Public Health and Mental Hygiene as well as assisting the County Attorney with various municipal matters.  Work is performed in conjunction with and under the supervision of the County Attorney.  Supervision may be exercised over the work of clerical or other staff of the County Attorney’s office.  Does related work as required.

The title of Assistant County Attorney is classified as Exempt under Tioga County Civil Service rules. 

Status:
Full-time, permanent

Range of Work Hours:   
Monday – Friday, Days

Salary:    
$44,489 - $52,488 (Hiring range – depending on experience)
Full benefit package including - Health Insurance, Flexible Spending Plans, Paid Leave time, NYS Retirement System      Deferred Compensation Plan .

Location:   
Tioga County Law Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   
Must be duly licensed to practice law in New York State.
