Chief Executive Officer

The Jefferson County Job Development Corporation and Jefferson County Industrial Development Agency seek an aggressive, goal-oriented economic development professional to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer. 

Jefferson County is located in the 1000 Islands Region of New York State. The County has a population of 117,200 with an estimated 4.9% growth since 2000 and is the home of the 10th Mountain Division (LI) and Fort Drum.

Accountabilities of the position include managing a staff of seven; an annual budget of $1.4 Million; a $6 Million RLF; and operating multiple corporations; as well as developing and implementing programs pertaining to business retention, expansion and attraction.  The successful candidate should possess at least a four-year degree in business, marketing, public administration or related field, and at least six years of successful and extensive managerial experience in a community or economic development organization. A Certified Economic Developer designation is preferred. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
