Director of Community Public Health
This position administers a local County Public Health program including:Article 28 Part Time Immunization Clinics, including jail and migrant
Communicable Disease Prevention – including Tuberculosis, Rabies, West Nile Virus and reportable disease programs
Maternal/Child Health Services including a MOMS Program
Lead Prevention Program
Emergency Planning
Children with Special Needs Program
Long-term Home Health Care Program
Certified Home Health Agency
The successful candidate will insure compliance with all Federal, State and local program requirements and lead developments and implementation of new health programs to meet community needs. The Director may act as incident commander for public health emergencies and lead emergency health planning in collaboration with other community health agencies. Administration of the departmental budget and staff of 50 along with related duties.
Minimum qualifications:
Possession of a Master's Degree in Public Health Nursing, Public Health, or a related field and two years of Public Health administration experience; OR an appropriate combination of education and experience deemed equivalent by the State Commissioner of Health.
Special requirements for appointment include access to transportation to meet fieldwork assignments made in the ordinary course of business in a timely and efficient manner.
Salary range starting at $81,908:
