Deputy Director of Probation

Assists in the administration of Suffolk County’s Probation Department and its staff of 475, a department with innovative programs effective in reducing recidivism and an automated case management system that leads the State in its design.  The Deputy acts for the Director on numerous boards and committees and interactions with representatives of other county agencies, and assumes responsibility for functions within Family Court Services, Criminal Court Services and/or Administrative Services while assisting in the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures.

Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree and ten (10) years of professional experience in a probation agency, four (4) of which must have been in a supervisory, administrative or executive position having responsibility for more than thirty-five (35) Probation Officers.

The successful candidate must become a resident of Suffolk County.

Excellent Benefits Package

Salary Range: $82,085 to $115,910
