Greene County is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Director of Probation. This is a provisional appointment, pending civil service examination.
Responsible for planning, directing and supervising a Probation Department of approximately 14 professional, para-professional and clerical employees. Reports directly to the County Administrator. Applicants must be articulate, possess good communication skills, have the ability to supervise subordinate employees in a non confrontational manner and have a minimum of three (3) years experience in a supervisory or administrative position in a probation agency.
Starting salary mid $60’s depending on experience and qualifications, plus generous benefit package of paid in full health/dental and vision insurance, paid vacation, sick and personal time, NYS Retirement and Deferred Compensation Plan.
