Partnerships formed for the benefit of counties and their employees
After conducting a due diligence process, the New York State Association of Counties (NYSAC) has chosen to partner with the following companies as preferred service providers because NYSAC believes that these products provide comprehensive and superior service public employers need. Counties and their employees are free to choose these services or any other provider for their service needs.
Some of these partnerships provide fees to NYSAC in exchange for the endorsement, marketing support and program oversight and for the right to be the exclusive provider of products under the program, which is a common practice in the public sector market. These fees help to stabilize dues for our member counties and benefit member counties through our ability to improve and expand the services, education and training that we provide.
Partnership Program News
We are pleased to announce that NYSAC's Driver Safety Program is now available online at a discounted rate for county employees and their families.
Since 1991, NYSAC and the New York Safety Program have teamed up to provide county employees and their families with an advanced driver safety program and lowers insurance costs and reduces up to four points on your driving record.

New York Municipal Insurance Reciprocal

Deferred Compensation Retirement Program
NYSAC, in partnership with the National Association of Counties (NACo) and Nationwide Retirement Solutions provides county employees with the opportunity to invest a portion of their wages in a retirement account. Nationwide Retirement Solutions

Classified Advertising Network
To help counties attract well-qualified new employees, NYSAC has partnered with the New York Newspaper Publishers Association to enable counties to place highly detailed, attention-getting ads at a very affordable price with ease and accountability. ProAct
The ProAct partnership offers a discount prescription program to lower the cost of drugs for residents who don’t have health care insurance or have inadequate prescription coverage.
NYSAC Defensive Driving Program
NYSAC and the New York Safety Program provide counties with a six hour driver improvement course allow employees and the county to realize reductions in car insurance premiums. NYSAC Defensive Driving Program brochure
Milliman
Milliman offers NYSAC member counties with specialized consulting for compliance to GASB 45, which requires governments to account for current and future costs associated with post employment benefits.
