2012 NYSAC Legislative Priorities
Below, you will find links to download the 2012 NYSAC Legislative Platform and testimony on the Executive Budget as well as NYSAC Fact Sheets, White Papers, and Resolutions regarding the five areas of the State Budget that make up NYSAC's 2012 Legislative Priorities: Medicaid Reform, Pension Reform, Children with Special Needs (Preschool Special Education and Early Intervention), Public Safety, and Human Services.
This year’s State Budget, which went into effect on April 1st, includes a mechanism that will save county taxpayer dollars in future years.
It was balanced, in large part, with new revenues produced from tax reforms enacted in December 2011 and savings from State agency consolidations and procurement reforms.
