Media Advisory: Hundreds of County Officials Due in Niagara County Next Week

NYSAC Fall Seminar runs September 19-21 at the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls

Next week, over 500 county officials from throughout New York State will convene in Niagara County to discuss matters including county priorities for the upcoming State legislative session, the heroin and opioid epidemic, 9-1-1 funding, renewable energy, mental health, indigent defense, broadband, disaster recovery, and drinking water safety.

These are just some of the policy considerations and training opportunities that will bring hundreds of county officials to Niagara Falls next week for the 2016 Fall Seminar, hosted by the New York State Association of Counties (NYSAC).

“During this season of political decision making, there are a range of issues at the state and federal levels that will directly impact our communities. We are looking forward to bringing our members together to discuss solutions, opportunities, and challenges facing our counties throughout the state,” said NYSAC President William E. Cherry, Schoharie County Treasurer.
