New York State economy projected to stagnate over the next six months
New York State's economy is projected to stagnate over the next six months, according to numbers released by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia on Tuesday.
New York has the eighth worst economic growth forecast among the U.S. states. The nation as a whole is projected to grow 1.2 percent over the next six months.
The figures come from the bank's economic leading index, which projects the growth or decline of overall economic activity over the next six months using variables that often change before the economy as a whole changes.
