NYSACThe NYS Legislature is on vacation this week. When they return to Albany on Monday, June 5 there will only be 11 days left of the legislation session. The pieces of legislation that NYSAC is closely tracking include:

NYSAC supports S519 Young/A751 Gunther, which requires state payment of state-mandated salary increases for district attorneys.
Drones
NYSAC supports S2125 Ritchie/A6930 Abinanti, which prohibits civilian drone use within 1000 feet of a correctional facility.
Public Group Self-insurer
NYSAC supports S5873 DeFrancisco/A679A Magnarelli, which allows county pools to join a public group self-insurance program to lower costs and better manage public employee risks.
Sales Tax Extenders
Counties have submitted home rule requests to extend existing sales tax rates. These individual bills have not been passed by either house of the legislature, and NYSAC continues to advocate for passage of all of these home rule requests.
