Statewide Conference of NYS County Leaders to Convene in Albany
NYSAC Legislative Conference runs January 29 - 31 2018 at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center.
County delegates from across the state will gather next Monday through Wednesday for the 2018 Legislative Conference hosted by the New York State Association of Counties (NYSAC) at the Desmond Hotel in Albany.
The three-day conference is an opportunity for over 700 attendees to attend bipartisan standing committee meetings, training workshops, keynote addresses, and business meetings. The conference also includes a special program for newly elected and appointed county officials from across the state.
The policy considerations and training opportunities at the conference include local shared services and the tax cap; communication and social media; serving our seniors, veterans, and special needs children; protecting our drinking water; Narcan training, an analysis of the state budget; among several others.
“This annual event is an important opportunity for county officials to share best practices, engage with state leaders, and get up to date on the priority issues facing counties,” said NYSAC President MaryEllen Odell, Putnam County Executive.
