Cortland County Public Health Director Rescinding Retirement to Facilitate Consistent COVID-19 Response
Cortland County Public Health Director Catherine Feuerherm has rescinded her planned retirement effective March 15th, 2020 in order to continue coordinating the Cortland County HealthDepartment's on-going response to the COVID-19 crisis. Feuerherm has over thirty years of service with County serving in several positions before becoming the Public Health Director.

Orange County Government to reduce staff
Pursuant to the governor's order that all levels of government reduce its in-office staffing during the COVID-19 crisis, Orange County is making reductions. The county advises residents seeking any government services to call the department before arriving at that location.
 
Help Now NYC 
Last week, Mayor Bill de Blasio called for retired health care personnel to come forward and join the Medical Reserve corps. More than 2,000 people immediately stepped up. Opportunities to support those affected by this emergency will be shared on this website, including volunteer and donation opportunities. 
 
Oswego County HR Department moves to appointments for services 
The Oswego County Human Resources Department is exercising preventative measures in the interest of preventing the spread of the coronavirus and protecting the health and well-being of the public. Until further notice, people are asked to call and request an appointment for in-person services.
