Last year a small number of counties received CRF dollars in the early days of the pandemic, these counties received direct federal assistance if they had a population of 500,000 or more. Over $8 billion dollars in federal CRF assistance was provided to New York State, New York City and the more populous counties. While the use of CRF dollars is more restrictive than the soon to be released American Rescue Plan funds just signed into law, we believe much of the process for receiving, tracking, documenting uses and accounting for these federal stimulus dollars will not change from what Treasury has already established. New Treasury guidance will outline in greater detail the use of funds under the American Rescue Plan but there is likely to be overlap with some of the already approved uses under the CRF that will be discussed during the webinar. Please join NYSAC and 3 counties that received CRF dollars and learn about how these counties utilized these funds, their experience in dealing with federal officials, the process for certifying receipt and drawing down the funds, the structures they put in place to account for and document the use of funds, and how they determined best uses of these resources.
