It can be challenging for county officials with many responsibilities outside of responding to climate change to navigate the web of programs that various state agencies administer to support local climate action.

To help counties take full advantage of the state resources available to them, this white paper aims to centralize information about the certification programs, technical assistance, and grant funding that New York State offers to help local governments protect the environment, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and make New York a leader in clean energy.
