Counties Going Casual For A Cause

For nearly 100 years, county officials have been coming together through NYSAC to help each other, share best practice, and stand together on issues of mutual concern. It's the true definition of “NYSAC United.”

Since the tragic shooting in Buffalo last month, counties have been finding ways they can help the communities in Erie County that have been most impacted.

It has recently come to our attention that Delaware County holds a periodic Jeans Day when employees can dress down in their favorite jeans in exchange for contributing a few dollars into a collection jar that then gets distributed to an individual or organization in need in their community. Last week, Delaware County Jeans Day raised hundreds of dollars for the Buffalo Together Fund!

NYSAC was so inspired by Delaware County's initiative that we decided to hold our own NYSAC Jeans Day in support of the Buffalo Together Fund, and we are encouraging all member counties to do the same.

On Thursday, June 30th, we encourage you and your employees to go casual for a cause—to raise donations for the Buffalo Together Community Response Fund, which was created to help the victims, families, and communities impacted by the tragic shootings in Erie County that left 10 New Yorkers dead and 3 injured.

Our association is known for bringing and keeping our members together, in one voice, unified to make all of our communities great places to live, work, and raise our families.

We hope that you will join us next Thursday, June 30th as we all go Casual for a Cause and stand together for Buffalo and Erie County.
