2024 State of the State Summary

Today, Governor Hochul delivered her State of the State address to legislators, state elected officials, county leaders, and other dignitaries. The State of the State is traditionally when New York’s Governor lays out, in broad strokes, the administration’s policy agenda for the coming year.

The State of the State is followed by the presentation of the Executive Budget proposal, where the details of these proposals – in particular, how the state plans to pay for them – are explained. This year’s budget will be unveiled next week and NYSAC will provide an in-depth analysis for our members.
