Job Title: TREASURER’S FISCAL TECHNICIAN FULL TIME – PROVISIONAL - Pending Full Board Approval

Salary/Grade: 2025 Salary: $57,186 (2026 Salary pending Union negotiation) Grade 13C

Work Location: Hudson, NY

Classification: This is a competitive Civil Service position.

Distinguishing Features of the Class: This position in the Columbia County Treasurer’s Office shall serve under the direction of the Treasurer/Deputy Treasurer in all manners directly related to various interpretation & application of revenue into the County’s accounting software (MUNIS) for the receipting of Federal, State and local sources. Work includes accuracy and verification of all items for data collection, reconciliation and input. Candidate is expected to perform related work, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
A.) Graduation from a regionally accredited four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics and two (2) years full-time, paid experience in these fields;

OR B.) Graduation from a regionally accredited two (2) year college or university with an Associate’s degree in the (A) above fields and four (4) years of paid experience in these fields;

OR C.) An equivalent combination of training and experience as indicated in(a) and (b) above;

OR D.) Six (6) years experience with a strong focus on account management in a municipal accounting
setting.
