Message from the President
Welcome to the New York State Association of Counties.
It is my honor to represent New York State’s county leaders, the most innovative, committed, and resilient public servants that I have come to know during my time in government.
For nearly 100 years, the New York State Association of Counties has been an association of and for county leaders, created for the purpose of connecting county officials from across the state, advocating on their behalf and fostering excellence in county government.
Throughout our long history, uur success has always come from our ability to unify New York’s counties, regardless of size, region, or political ideology, around the shared interests of a diverse state.
When we come together, through our association, we can achieve extraordinary results for our communities.
There will always be a plethora of issues facing our counties, none of which come with easy solutions. However, our role as an association is to help turn these challenges into opportunities and successful solutions for our best today; and a better tomorrow.
I encourage you all to engage with NYSAC, through this website, through conferences, on social media or by picking up the phone. We are here to serve you as a New York County official, and to serve the millions of New Yorkers whose lives we affect every day.
