Assigned Counsel Program Administrator

Appointed Exempt Position — Non-Competitive

Columbia County is seeking a candidate to fill a part-time Program Administrator responsible for the coordination of Indigent Legal Services.

The position will oversee management and operations of the Office of Assigned Counsel and is responsible for the assignment of cases to attorneys and maintaining required legal and administrative records. The work is performed in accordance with guidelines provided by Article 18B of the County Law and performs related work as required. Applicants must be members in good standing of the New York Bar and must reside in or be willing to relocate to Columbia County, New York. Work location is in-person in Hudson, New York. Minimum qualifications include a NYS law degree, 10 years experience in criminal or family law matters, three (3) of which must include administrative experience.
