Cortland County, New York is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Personnel Officer to serve as its chief civil service authority and strategic workforce leader. This executive role offers a competitive salary of $100,958–$134,376 and the opportunity to shape workforce strategy, guide labor relations, and modernize public personnel systems for a growing Central New York community of nearly 50,000 residents. Reporting to the County Administrator and Legislature, the Personnel Officer leads all aspects of civil service administration, labor relations, employee relations, and workforce planning across approximately 600 employees and 28 departments.
