Transportation and Infrastructure
Locally-owned roads and bridges account for 87 percent of New York State’s 110,000 miles of roadways and 50 percent of the state’s 18,000 bridges.
Transportation and Infrastructure
The ability of counties to create and maintain safe and efficient infrastructure is necessary for economic development and revitalization, schools, agriculture, businesses, health and hospital facilities and emergency responders, as well as the general traveling public.
Securing adequate funding for the maintenance and replacement of these locally owned and aging roads and bridges is a continual challenge and priority of NYSAC.
