DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF AGING: OFFICE FOR THE AGING

 

HOURS:          35 hours per week                                          SALARY:        $59,740.00 – $69,591.00 per year

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The Deputy Director of Aging is a managerial position which involves responsibility for assisting in the administration, coordination and development of services for the Office of the Aging. The incumbent will perform work involving contract management, fiscal responsibilities, grant administration, program development and public education. The work is performed under the Director, with considerable discretion granted to administer programs. The incumbent performs related work as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A.     Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university or one accredited by the NYS Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business administration, the behavioral sciences, economics, health care administration or a related field and three (3) years of experience as an administrator or supervisor in a human services agency; OR

B.    Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university or one accredited by the NYS Board of Regents to grant degrees, with an Associate’s Degree in accounting, business administration, the behavioral sciences, economics, health care administration or a related field and five (5) years of experience as an administrator or supervisor in a human services agency OR

C.    An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
